Fíona Guiheen

Im Fíona Guiheen, an Irish singer and sound artist. For over three decades, I have worked with people through music and voice - first as a performer and now as a sound artist weaving songs, silence and soundscapes into journeys of love, belonging and rememberance.

As a recording artist, my releases include Eist Le Mo Chroí, Deep Peace, Be Still, Enter Beloved, Dream Softly - Songs that carry tapestry of prayer, presence and heart medicine.

In October, I will be releasing a new collaborative work that continues to expand my sound into fresh and untethered landscapes

My songs are woven prayers, bridging the inner and outer worlds - heart songs to invite you home to yourself.  With soothing vocals, acoustic melodies and vibrational frequencies, I create sonic beauty that opens liminal spaces of reconnection, healing and stillness

I am deeply rooted in my ancestral connection to the Blasket Islands - the last Celtic Empire and I am related to the renowned seanchaí and writer Peig Sayers whose voice carried the stories and songs of our motherland and mothertongue into the wider world.

Inspired also by my travels to India, where I learned Sanskrit devotional song, my music is a tapestry of Celtic melodies, Middle Eastern flavours and etheral tones.

Alongside recording, I create live sound experiences nationwide here in Ireland. I create these spaces for you to just come as you are, rest and reconnect with yourself.  These gatherings, as well as one-to-one sound sessions, are paces where you can just come and reconnect with yourself.

My music is heart medicine.  Each song is offered with the intention of bringing you closer to your own essence and beauty - a remembering of what is already inside us all.  I weave the old and the new, blending Celtic tradition with contemporary soundscapes, to create spaces of reflection, presence and reconnection.
